Devlog: Recent changes

I wasn't updating the game since a few days, why? Well, i work on a bigger update now!


Right now i am replacing all the 8bit sounds with high quality ones, doing major changes to achievements (they can now give you rewards like boosters, cards or even increase max health).


Another thing is that, i want to replace 8x8 player character with something like 16x32, so i can properly animate him, think of Crypt of the Necrodancer. Same thing with enemies.


About cards, there are shadow card type incoming. It has side effects such as self damage or self burning (etc..). You can negate this by throwing a "Purifier" card that has a synergy with shadow cards. Another way to mitigate the shadow cards effects is to use them. There's a new achievement for using them, and it lowers the side effects of said cards.


If you'll get the legendary achievement, which will be a really painful one, ALL of the shadow cards will be purified. I have to decide if this should only belong to "use X shadow cards" or make more conditions for it.


Another thing: per mob attack cards. Current damage dealing cards will be changed to AOE damage cards. New cards will require you to target a mob. AOE cards will be weaker to single target ones for the same price of Action Points. 


Lastly: Cursed cards. They are essentially shadow cards with a twist: you can negate the side effects by purifier cards, but achievements don't do anything to them. Those cards are OP for enemies but have strong side effects. Using them without scoring any +1 max health will result in an instant death.
